Depending on the computer system, e-mail program and Internet connection there will be a great disparity regarding the handling of graphic files.
Depending on the camera your file may range from:
Large (34” X 45”) TO Small (13” X 10”) both being 72 dpi or pixels per inch. The computer monitor is 72 dpi.
The larger file is 22.9 Mb. This is the resolution from a recent iPhone camera. Newer phones may be even larger file sizes.
The smaller file is 1.98 Mb . This probably the right size for our forum.
If you do not have Adobe Photoshop download a free graphic file application. They will downsize your monster iPhone photo files.

150-350KB is a bit small, and will lose detail when blown up, especially if you are trying to read numbers.  I would suggest allowing at least 1 MB file size. Â

Regardless, there is no reason to upload 6MB images when the same image reduced to 150-350KB will show all the detail. Can't tell the difference between them.

If you could elaborate further on the issue youâ•˙re having perhaps there is a solution we could come up with. Personally I hate tiny pictures because they get very pixelated when blown up looking for detail. I save many of the sent pictures on my hard drive for reference, so I appreciate being able to look at them closely. Not trying to start an argument, just looking to come to some middle ground on the issue. Unless someone is on dial-up access, which I doubt, large pictures should not be a problem.
PLEASE do not send large files to the listserver. They choke my email client (Outlook).
