Block is new!! Got it from a Club member, absolutely fine.
Did not run in this car before.
The old block was cracked 5 times, but all interior is almost like new, so the engine was worked on not too long ago before I bought this car.
Probably they did not fill in any antifreeze (or do you really need this in California??)
My mechanic can transplant everything into the new block, fits perfect.
Only this one damn piston is damaged, not exploded or torn apart but has a crooked pin and/or rod or something equal.
Next time I step by the body shop I will take pictures and can be more precise about this.
Sorry I am not a mechanic….

Sounds like it’s time for a new block.

I need one standard piston for my restauration (62 sport, 413 cui)
7 are perfect but unfortunately one is defect and can’t be fixed.
Must have a 0,30 overbore !!
A good used one is absolutely ok
Maybe somebody has one left over?
How about the Scandinavian members?
And in case you can’t help directly: where could I get a new one?
I know the Club had this discussion 3 years ago and it all came down to these racing companies (Diamond, Ross, Venolia) to have them custom made.
Maybe any new sources came up meanwhile?
