I tried that.
It had slid down towards the transmission side of things.
I will have to pop it out of the trans & capture the fluid.
Yay; nothing has been easy on brining THIS car back to life…..nothing.

Have you tried to reach the cable with a thin long nose pliers? The end should be very close to the end of the cable housing. If it is not there it may be too short for the old tip to reach the speedometer when refastened to the cable.
