Hi, Dave Glad to read the mystery of the lights has been (mostly?) resolved. Perhaps the remaining paradox is due to the fact that the map light switch provides a ground connection rather than the normal connection to a +12VDC source. The bulb always has +12VDC and is ready to go upon receiving a ground. This is true of all the courtesy lamps, the glove box lamp and the trunk lamp—and is the reason for countless dead batteries when we “forgot” or the switch turned itself on. The door switches or the headlight switch dimmer switch will also connect the ground to the map light bulb, along with the other courtesy lamps. If you have a power antenna, it’s up/down switch receives +12VDC from the same wire providing power to the map light bulb. The map light, its switch and the power antenna switch all together in that area make for a busy and important place. New circuit breakers, wiper and light switches. Me twisted like a pretzel with seats out, mirror and flashlight. The only paradox is the map light, switch works, new bulb. The male to female, so true, are sketchy. Soon, off to the alignment machine New steering box works well. Today, was a refresher setting Blue Streak dual points. Is the only adjustment for the auto choke the screw on the carb cam? Fast idles is fast until warm up and kick down to 700 ram's.
