Weld nuts and reinforcing plates are present F&R on our ’64.300Konv. If not used, the each nut had a rubber plug in it to minimize dirt and corrosion. Factory option was for front belts only. Dealers could quickly install matching rear belts but not many are seen. There is no indication that seat belts were standard on any 1964 Chrysler. Factory belts carried Chrysler part numbers on a sewed-on label. Plain-vanilla chrome buckles. I think I saw where one year, at least, the buckles may have had some décor on them. I’ve seen two different Order Codes for the 1964 front belts: 411-Seat Belts-Safety $18.75 retail (Same Order Code as in 1963) and 419 Seat Belts-Retractable-2 Front $19.90 retail-perhaps to use up 1963-design belts before switching over to a different design/vendor? Perhaps a difference in the retractor devices and/or the outboard receptacles/holsters for the belts?? Rich B.
