Don,

You're correct, about the '56 door handles.  Although, closely examining the Kieckhaefer B on display at The Henry Ford, you'll see that Carl retained the '56-style door handle on the left door, but replaced with the '55-style handle on the right door. He likely thought the '55 was more aerodynamic. John Begian and I checked it out at the June '18 Motor Muster held in Greenfield Village - first time that B had run in 8 years, and it sounded great!

Second picture down shows Vicki inside the B.  Definitely a 300B.  Not a C300.  Exterior door handle is the '56 style.
