Considering the limited surface area, as well as the frequency
that these holes clogged up, I have no clue as to why they would do this, I
assume, with two smaller holes, rather than one larger one. I can't find a part
number for the chrome nozzle in my 55-8 parts book.

Larry, I do have this valve
part #687 $25.00. I will try and take a decent picture to show you how it's
attached to the firewall. It won't be until later this afternoon sometime. ( I
can't make the #687 until late this week. I don't have one in
stock). The
nozzle on the hood on a '57 has 2 holes, a '58 has 4 holes. The sizes are about
the same
there isn't any smaller
ones. They are about the same. You just end up with a little gap.

squirter that go on the hood for 57 & 58 look the same until you look real
close 57 had 2 squirter
holes & 58 had 4 Per Gary

the same squirter, in the center of the hood. 59 had two squirters installed in
