My interior guy told me his sewing machine is strong enough to sew the heel plates onto the new carpet—in the same place the original threads were found—in a groove around the edge. But I failed to do this before installing new carpet and believe the new stuff is already stuck down and it would require removal of the console and, probably the front seats. Aargh. Rich Barber Brentwood, CA 1964 300Konv From: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> On Behalf Of ALLAN POZDOL apozdol@xxxxxxxxxxx [Chrysler300] I see that the two front heel pads are sewn onto the front carpets. I would imagine that these were originally machine sewn. Has anyone had any experience transferring these to new carpets? Can they be glued down successfully, or do they need to now be hand sewn?
