Side Note, I seem to recall reading somewhere that at the time Auto-Lite 
was NOT a Ford subdivision but a stand alone supplier.

A wiki article says 1961, it also states they were a contracted supplier 
for Chrysler.

WIKI also suggests Standard Motor Products was an after market suppler.
No mention of being an OEM suppler to the big 3.
