RE: [Chrysler300] Window Stickers

I haven’t dealt with early export cars but have dealt with ones from the late ‘60s and early ‘70s. There are Export cars for foreign customers and they’ll have export body tags on them. Then there are Export cars for US citizens abroad, such as people in the military or diplomats. They are US spec cars and expected to be brought back into the states. I’ve heard that some military ordered export cars never actually leave the state but instead got shipped to bases where the buyer was stationed.

I wonder how early Randy’s car is.

I don't know anything about export cars. Randy Guyer's red F convert is coded export but it was in California as long as anyone can remember. No unusual tags.

I’m also trying to find out what a code 629 is on a build record. This is on an very early Export 300F. It doesn’t appear that this car was for an export market as it doesn’t have export body tags.

I’ll see if I can find him. I’m actually trying to figure out some codes on my wagon. It had special-ordered tires. I know I may never know what they were since I don’t have anything but the build record.

And I know about taking care of parents. Both of mine live with me and it’s quite a handful.

Nick.

Have you been in touch with Karl Pippart? He used to make repro window stickers until his old typewriter broke. He's been laying low lately taking care of his elderly father so I don't know if he's watching this.

Congrats on the wagon, btw!

How many people have the factory window sticker for their cars? I’ve been searching for examples of 1960 Chrysler window stickers and so far have only found 3 and none of those are for a 300F.
