Was 1958 the only year Fuel Injection was offered ? Obviously at the time the quality was not good so I would think the number made was very low. Hence, I sure most were converted to carburetors.

Per Blixt has very nice reproductions on his fuel injected 300D.  That original has been on eBay for quite a while, that should give an idea of whether it is worth the asking price.  Rarity goes both ways, it can help, or it can hurt the value if the need is very small as it is in this case.
