Re: [Chrysler300] 1962 power brake booster source

My 300H had awful brakes. I drove it for years thinking that was the nature of the beast. I sent my 300H booster to Booster Dewey for overhaul, and in conversations and research, we determined that my car had a 62 300 booster but not a 300H booster.

The 300H booster is a dual diaphragm booster, I imagine due to the low manifold vacuum with the dual carbs. He found me a dual diaphragm booster core and it made a big difference although the brakes have never been real great.

I also note that one of the car clubs interchange list, says a NAPA booster interchanges. That is a single diaphragm booster and not correct for an H.

There are other rebuilders as well.

Does anyone have a source for a power brake booster or rebuild kit for a 300 H.?

Thanks in advance.
