Dave, A number of years ago I had my 300G at a local show in Sacramento. A spectator to the show was looking closely at my tailpipes and asked me about the shape and downturn of the end. He claimed to have worked with exhaust systems for many years and said my tail pipe terminations were not correct. I had never before or since had anyone comment on them and have wondered if he was correct, but he was kind of an odd character and I didn’t debate him on the issue, I only said that the installer of the system used the prescribed part. What year is the Windsor? I’d like to see a photo. In parting this Windsor, there is what appears to be an original tail pipe still intact on the left rear of this car. It has what I think is the original section of the outlet curves on the very end. I can provide pictures if anyone may be interested in seeing this. I think I should save at least that part of it if not all of it in case someone would like to use this section of it as a pattern for new exhaust. I would assume the right side, in a dual exhaust set-up would be the same as well and wondering if they would have been the same on our letter cars. If so, maybe we should include these pictures (I will take some) in the tech section?? Opinions??
