Hi All,
The antenna Ron is offering is correct manual antenna for all
57-59 Chrysler models except Imperial, power antenna was a option. Gary G. is
describing a “power” antenna with chrome spanner nut. I am restoring a 57
Imperial that all came standard with power antenna. I made the special spanner
wrench to remove that chrome nut.
Take care,
Gary

Antenna
Rich,
Thanks for finding the link. The antenna looks very similar to the
one I have on my C, however, last Thursday at spring meet had a chance to view
another C and instead of black plastic cap the part was metal (pot metal?) and
had provision on top of cap for a wrench.
The gentleman that owned the car thought the antenna was factory original
as he had owned the car for 40+ years.
I understand this is still anecdotol information, but, too me it makes
sense the factory antenna would be chrome plated and have the wench
feature.
The antenna that is shown on the link looks like the same type I purchased
17 +/- years back and always thought was correct.
Understand mfgrs can have more than one supplier for purchased parts (ie
antennas) and this may be an example.
Just my 2 cents.

PS. My antenna works just fine. On Sun, May 20, 2018, 2:46 PM 'Rich Barber' c300@xxxxxxx
