RE: [Chrysler300] ethanol-eaten fuel pumps





So what happens if the car stalls out (coil goes bad, etc) ? Will the electric pump still be pumping gas ?

Here’s what I think. Of course, I could be wrong. If the car rolls over, the gas tank would also then be upside down, and the gas would be away from the sump or suction tube inside the tank. Then the pump would be sucking air, not gas. IMO. And if the car is upside down the gas would be pouring out of the filler neck anyway, regardless of having a mechanical pump or electric pump.
