Does anybody know if the ball joints ,control arms or spindles changed in 62 from just prior , 61 back? I know it changed in late 58, larger suspension parts, ball joints and larger upper control arm bushings as well as thicker , stronger brake backing plates, requiring new wheel cylinders etc . I had always thought (without any proof!) that 62 was identical to 60, 61 (and probably late 58 and 59) . Those later , better parts taken all together will fit 57, for those who might wonder—I did that. This is in the context of 62 up (only) HD front discs in a kit that includes new disc brake spindles , that fit 62. And “C bodies” ; why would they not fit 60,61? any ideas? Also found out in researching some of this some brake upgrades move the wheel disc in or out as much as 1.5”. This parameter surprised me, was not mentioned to my knowledge in all the disc brake discussions. Just a heads up…. __._,_.___ Posted by: "John Grady" <jkg@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To send a message to this group, send an email to: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to bob@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or go to https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/all/manage/edit For list server instructions, go to http://www.chrysler300club.com/yahoolist/inst.htm For archives go to http://www.forwardlook.net/300-archive/search.htm#querylang __,_._,___ |
