On my 63 Jag, there has to be a certain amount of space between the power booster linkage and the master cylinder. I set mine too close once and the brakes locked up until it cooled off. The purpose of that space on the Jaguar is to allow fluid to expand and will accommodate a small amount of movement of the master cylinder piston caused by expanding fluid. My 300H has a similar space. It is between the master cylinder and the rod which protrudes from the power brake booster and contacts the piston in the master cylinder. The shop manual is adamant that that is a factory adjustment only. Years ago I had a template for setting that space given to me by a club member, Now, John Grady says thermal expansion is not the reason we have that space. I set mine to .050 in order to raise my brake pedal. I suspect if yours is set too close, then as you drive it, the brakes will begin to drag, then heat up and lock up. But, John Grady disagrees also and probably knows much more than I do about it.On the other hand, the fact that you replaced a master recently does make it suspect. If it were me, I would remove the master, and try to do it without draining any fluid if I could, and screw that acorn nut in the end of the plunger on the booster in a few turns in and see if it helps. Good luck! Mike Moore 300H

Luckily I didn't get rear ended. Seems like a booster issue as nothing binding in the pedal mechanism. First time stalled the car. Restarted and not locked. Second time I think I caught the side of pedal with my foot and it released. Both times gentle braking. The locked solid. I am in St. Paul minnesota. Anyone know of someone in the area that might be able to help? Or ideas to solve the issue?
