Dave , look carefully, notice all the sheet metal shapes in hood metal forward and around the black one is/are different. Plate almost looks homemade and it IS flat. I thought that too..Bob is right it is a different flat plate design..or a repair of some kind. why the survey. If you have C or D take a look which you have. I have never seen a flat one. Long exchanges about all that before the survey. Regular one is tilted by the plate stamping shape, very purposely, at ten degrees. -----Original Message----- From: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of 'David Schwandt' finsruskw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [Chrysler300] Sent: Tuesday, May 10, 2016 3:28 PM To: 'Bill Leahy'; ''Gary Nelson' gnelson@xxxxxxxxxxxx [Chrysler300]' Subject: RE: [Chrysler300] survey for owners of C, D, E Guys... >From where I sit, it just looks like one of 'em is bent is all. The difference would be in the base the pin screws into, would it not?? In which case, a quick look at the parts book and the part # for the base would shed some light. I'd bet they are all the same and then one pictured is bent. Looks to be some distortion in the hood just under the pin base. Be a good chance to do comparisons at the meet next week. Wish we could make it, have fun Y'all!!
