Hi Phil,That is very interesting. Always good to learn something new.So George, it looks like you have turned up a very rare 300B.Don----- Original Message -----Sent: Saturday, April 30, 2016 11:39 AMSubject: Re: [Chrysler300] 300bHello George and Don,
Geranium was the original red choice. Very soon after production started, the management changed to regimental red. I have seen a copy of the letter sent to all dealers announcing that change. There very few produced with Geranium Red, but at least one does exist. Don Rook bought it from the original owner and I saw it and tried to buy it before he moved from PA to ARK. I could not meet his price. The car moved as part of his collection to ARK. Club member Jerry Patton, of Eads, TN did purchase it and had White Post Restorations do a show car restoration. It is stunning ! I believe it is now for sale with a high asking price. Check out www.ArtAndSpeed.com.
Never having the circumstance where I could manage that car, I've been satisfied with my Dad's Geranium Red with Grey Spear and Top, Windsor Newport. Also an eye catching car that Jonnie Slayton restored and "souped up" for me.
All the Best 300ing,
Phil Irish
