RE: [Chrysler300] Magazine Columns

Ahh, yes. MI. As a pre-mechanical engineer teen-boy, I remember being torn
between the cool cars and devices and "MIMI" in her cute little coverall
shorts and engineer's cap. http://blog.modernmechanix.com/tag/mimi/ Was
slow to find out both girls and cars were necessary
accoutrements/aggravations to a full life. All this happened about the time
I spotted my first Chrysler 300 in the summer of '55. Getting one of those
also became necessary, but was delayed nearly 50 years. That car still
exists in a barn in SE Iowa. No tellin' where MIMI is now. Hope she is
doing well.

You are so right!
I would have sworn it was MI, but but wasn't.
As a 12/13 year old living on the Army base at Camp Zama,Japan during the
Korean War, Popular Mechanix and Popular Science were my favorite magazines
from the US and about all that was available at the PX.

He wrote his colorful reports of new cars and had a column, "Mail for
McCahill", in which he answered readers' questions.
