After spending waaaaay too much money on a car advertised as a one-of-one, 
one-of-ten, etc.,
maybe they don't want to find out that it started life as a plain jane car 
and was built up from there. Then when it comes time to sell, they can plead 
ignorance when they are 'called' on it.
