It would be interesting to see the data plate up close. Under the row of letter codes the A and B have the codes for the engine. The codes are 99 under the AB. I have quite a large collection of data plate codes that I have decoded for the owners. Almost all have 99 for the engine. A very few have 71. Have no idea why the 71 was on some because it was the same engine. For all practical purposes, 99 is the code, which denotes the 413 high performance engine. Again, no other option was available. None. Stranger things have happened as we all know but I thought the 'L' was only available with one engine?? He's probably either mistaken on what's in it or it's been replaced at some point, maybe even early on. My two cents.
