[Chrysler300] 1963 Pacesetter and parts

In calling former Club members from PA to invite them to Macungie, I learned that member Steve Herr passed away in April 2013. Steve’s wife Kathy told me she is preparing to auction their 63 Pacesetter and gave me the following announcement about the auction:

1963 Chrysler 300 Convertible Pace Car

Offered is a limited edition production car commonly called the Pacesetter. It is also referred to as Pace Car. It is one of 1,861 produced by Chrysler to commemorate the Indianapolis 500 race in 1963. The car is a garden variety 300 convertible equipped with a 305 horsepower 383 2 barrel engine, push button Torqueflite automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes and factory AM radio.

A total frame off and engine restoration was completed in 1997.

The exterior color is Holiday Turquoise (also referred to as Pace Car Blue), and the interior and top are white. The rare Chrysler 300 emblems are prominently displayed on the sides. The original miles are 89,306. The Pace Car is second titled, however it has been family owned since 1963. It comes with original car invoice, owner's manual, original PA certificate of title, service manual, pace car photos and advertising memorabilia.

This vehicle is being auctioned at Central Pennsylvania Auto Auction in Lock Haven, PA 17745 on July 15, 2015.
