Just out of curiosity (and because I hate to see people taken advantage of), I emailed the seller and asked if this was a convertible which came from the factory that way, or if it had been a hardtop which was made into a convertible. He replied it was a "true convertible." He did mention that they bought it from a collection, and it was restored when they bought it (because I had also asked when it was restored, and how many miles since). So, perhaps he doesn't know, or maybe there is confusion regarding whether this is that BJ car, but he's representing it as the real deal. As others said, it would be best to proceed with caution.
