Dave, You should have asked…. A few years ago I bought one of those gel batteries from Antique Auto Battery. It lasted a whole 22 months. I paid $255 for it and will never be suckered again. I bought a replacement group 27 battery with those two rectangular caps plugging 6 holes. I removed the rectangular caps and replaced them with the 6 red caps from the gel battery. I fastened them in the six holes on the lead-acid battery and it looks like an original. I put a repro Mopar decal sticker on the side. I know two other guys in my local Mopar club who had the exact same issue. Happy Moparing, Mark From: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of 'Dave Geise' daverg1@xxxxxxxxxxx [Chrysler300] Hi to all, Just replaced the battery in my 57C with one from Antique Auto Battery in Ohio. Original appearance Willard case and maintenance free. $280 and worth every $ to finally be out of the lead/acid business.
