Just to add my $.02, I have two four post lifts, one from a company that no longer exists and one from North American Auto Equipment. They are exactly the same. They were both about the least expensive lifts I could find. Both look and operate exactly like my friend’s BendPak and another friend’s Dannmar lift and every lift I’ve seen displayed at car shows. In fact I think they are all made by the same manufacturer in China. I’ve had one for 6 years and one for 4 years and had no problems. I have my 300G on one and a’64 Impala on the other. They have both worked well without problems and went through the Napa 6.0 earthquake in September with the cars, without issue. My insurance would only cover ALI and one other certification. Make sure your insurance, also covers damage caused by failing lift. Shop, tools, other vehicles and your home. To: zephyr9900@xxxxxxxxxxx; Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx wishing everyone a Happy thanksgiving. Was wondering if anyone has an opinion on the importance of ALI (Automotive Lift Institute) certification for a residential use car lift? Direct-Lift has this but at a show recently I saw a lift from Advantage Lifts (out of MN) which looked interesting with a more solid-looking build, but not with any certification. Has anyone ever heard of this company? Jeff Laiserin -----Original Message-----
