I once had a set of 14" Ford magnum 500's and a couple of standard Ford steel wheels that I regularly used on my '67 Coronet and a '68 Satellite. I'm not certain what the year of manufacture of the wheels was but I assume late 1960's - late 1970's. As I recall, they had the same taper as the Mopar wheels I also used on the car and were completely interchangeable other than the issue with the hub diameter. Mopars, at least of that era, have a slightly larger hub center. The Ford rims would sqeeze over the hub but getting the wheels back off usually required a great deal of leverage. I solved the problem by filing the rims.   
 
If indeed there were a need to swap lug nuts to match the tapers, you would have to convert your reverse threaded wheels as well.

The other important 'catch' (so I've been told, but would like to verify) is that while the Ford and Mopar 4.5x5 bolt patterns do match up, the taper on the holes for the lug nuts is different, so you can't mix lug nuts between the rims without the possibility of loosening.  If you buy Ford rims to put on your Chrysler, make sure you get the lug nuts along with them, or buy new Ford lug nuts to use with them and don't try to use the Chrysler lug nuts.
I'm still toying with the idea of going to 15" rims on my 57 to be able to use reasonably priced 225-75R15 tires, but having a hard time finding what I want in a wheel/rim/hubcap style.  I might wind up just biting the bullet on the Diamondback wide white radials, though it kills me to pay that much for tires that are just going to dry rot long before they ever wear out.

I would say you are sort of correct re those being 70s Lincoln deep dish polished 15inch alloy rims on that 300F.
But here is what I know - and I have 8 of these 70s Lincolns/LTD/Thunderbirds, so that how I got to figure it out.

Ford and late 50s- early 60s Chrysler sometimes used same bolt spacing rims/wheels - but there are traps.

The '76 Ford LTD 2 door Landau I have uses a larger bolt space pattern, but has an identical polished deep dish 15 inch rim - but it will NOT FIT 300Fs, Cs, Ds etc.
Now this same large space bolt pattern rim was later offered on '77-79 MKV Lincolns, of which I have three, ( but all mine factory fitment were different again alloy rims - same large bolt spacing - "Turbine" rims - fine radial spoke looking style.)

So here is where we get to what of this type rim fits our 300s - Lincolns around 1970 DID NOT THEN YET USE THIS LARGER - 5 inch spacing type - they used the smaller bolt spacing rims the same as our 300s. (LTDs maybe used the big spacing rim because of common Police use of LTDS - more likely abuse by Police, than Lincoln owners?!)
And at that time Ford offered  two identical looking 'small bolt pattern' styles - Turbine and polished Deep Dish - but I think this smaller bolt spacing polished alloy rim was mainly offered on mid 70s Thunderbirds.
Then later on, when we get to the '77/78 Thunderbirds I have, no deep dish alloy rim, but a wider Turbine rim - wider than any Ford steel or deep dish alloy.

So for that 300F to have 'small bolt pattern' deep dish alloy rims, they are not off the later large bolt pattern Lincolns/LTD, but likely off '73-76 TBird.  And Lincoln - ONLY IF at that time of a (still) small bolt pattern, if Lincoln offered deep dish polished rims?

So some clarification - but the new question of does anyone know did any Lincoln early 70s offer that deep dish alloy rim (while still in small bolt pattern era) - if not, they can only be off '73-76 Thunderbirds. Or later 70s, Ford offered them on their downsized LTD IIs.

From a handling/cornering perspective, the best small bolt pattern Ford alloy rim of that era is the '77/79 Thunderbird "Turbine" rim, as it wider than all others, even than any on the bigger Lincoln.
On those '77/79 Birds, they came with 225 75 15 radials, only 1 size down from Lincolns 235 75s, and for a TBird that was based on Ford's mid size Fairlane/Torino, quite a good/big tire. I have four '77/78 Birds because I love the way they drive if you push them hard - sort of like having fun with a 300, but obviously not with the grunt/power of our 300s, as you could only get a 351 or 400 in these last 'true Birds' before govt CAFE ended all such traditional US cars forever.

Personally forget putting Ford alloy rims on early 300s - Exner got it right with his hubcaps - just fit them to 15 inch rims, run good 235 75 radials ?!

I believe those are early-mid 70’s Lincoln wheels. Didn’t know those would fit.
