Fwd: [Chrysler300] Cruising west to White Sands

We overnighted in Needles, CA and are headed east today—shooting for Lordstown, NM in our Durango. No trailer or letter car this time. Looks like we may have a decent day by Saturday.

Larry Jett called and they never made it out of CA in their ’63 300 with overheating. To radiator shop today and will run a day late. Over 100 on I-5 and 108 here last evening. Hot dry and clear here this AM but fully expect thunderboomies later today.

And another hurricane coming up Baja CA.

Everyone start practicing your “no-rain” dance.

Had an eventful day today. Made it to Effingham as my generator died. Stopped by Spanky's, pulled it and took it his local rebuilder, reinstalled it and back on the road. While waiting for the rebuild, Spanky took us to a local Mopar muscle restorer buddy of his - great cache of mid- to late-60s iron. In mid-Missouri tonight with John Begian. Also met up with Michael and Linda Burke this morning. Targeting Amarillo tomorrow.
