SO 1 Full Turn is .05 Inch, 1/2 turn = .025 inch, 1/4 turn = .0125 IF My Math is correct So a base line can be achieved by running till hot then with motor off rotate by hand to prelim set each at .000 with that cylinders piston is TDC (top dead center) on the compression stroke, then by turn counting get close to the CAM stated Specs before trying to get fancy with altering the lash for that 'That feels faster', or that sounds quieter, etc. etc. TDC on the Compression stroke? BOTH valves should have a little play in the rocker arm, on the exhaust stroke one of those rocker arms will have NO Play atall. (If I remember rightly) (specially since we are talking solid lifters) :-) Some folks who do this a lot to a certain motor have a spare set of valve covers that they cut the tops off so they can play without spraying earl all over while they wrench away on the lash adjust NOT Recommended for long ram motors :-) -- Paul Holmgren On account of being a democracy and run by the people, we are the only nation in the world that has to keep a government four years, no matter what it does.
