Can't comment on the specific tire, but most of these low production tires are made by specialty manufacturers in relatively small lots. If you can get the first 2 letters of the DOT code, you can tell who makes them and where. http://www.harriger.com/tires.htm

Have you considered the P235/75R14 which may be a better match for overall diameter and ride height as well as availability. The old 8.50-14 were about 28.4 inches OD but the P225/75R14 are only about 27.6 inch OD and radials sit a bit lower anyway. The P235/75R14 are 27.9 / 28.0 inch OD.
