Hi Chris, I think your are correct. My brain has been locked into the convention of using a hyphen. To change now would mean doing ALL the short histories too. That also means Bob Merritt would have to redo the web descriptions that he has done over based on our previous work. BTW, gotta love this Club and its server. The cooperation and participation from our learned members have combined to create a fine, pier reviewed history. Waiting for final remarks to finish. Dan Reitz has volunteered to do a final grammar-punctuation review when we are done. Again thank you to all and especially Bob Merritt for his web site work. Well...to be more specific, the medallions on the J, K, and L have the words CHRYSLER and THREE HUNDRED spelled out on the outside edge of the black background center and a block letter J, K, or L in respective years in the middle.
Instead of us all getting passionate about spitting hairs on this topic, I suggest that we merely select a specific signing convention and use it consistently throughout the document. Tony, I will leave that up to you. And remember, you can't satisfy all the people all the time.

Now this is a very interesting question. Here is what I discovered.
My 1964 dealer showroom Facts Book and Trim Selector designates the letter car as "300K". However, the sales brochures and magazine advertisement copy designates the letter car as "300-K".
In my humble opinion, I believe that either way is correct. My "two cents" for what its worth.
