I would agree that the right side mirrors were a dealer option only. Also, left side remote mirrors and manual radio antennas were not physically installed on the cars until predelivery preparation at the dealership.
One unusual note, my 1964 Newport has a manual fender mount mirror on the driver side with a proper left side base and mounted in the correct position on the fender. It's a PITA to adjust that thing without help. LOL

Just a note of clarification. Right side mirrors were not available from the factory from 1960 thru 1964. There is no sales/option code for them to be ordered from the factory.
