I first used waterborne paint in NY back in '96. I've been using it at my shop in Arizona for over 4 years. My guess I'd that the delamination is between the clear and the color. The clear is still urethane, only the base is latex. If the base isn't allowed to completely flash off you'll have a clear coat failure. Waterborne paint has been used in Europe for decades and if I'm not mistaken its the oem finish on domestics as well and has been for some time. Plenty ways the leftist enviro wackos are ruining lives but paint ain't one of them. Less solvents to attack the body fillers and create shrink back is a good thing. Mike Laiserin. Sent from my iPod
