Re: [Chrysler300] Sport vs. K bucket seats

In 1964, the seat frames and seat materials (upholstrey) used on both non-letter and letter 300's (two-door and convertible) were IDENTICAL, with the exception of the rear seat speaker grill.  The front center arm rest section used in the non-letter without console was a separate piece from the individual bucket seats.

Your reference to "emblems on the seat tops" has me a little confused.  Are you referring to the "embossed star" of the heat-pressed factory vinyl seat back inserts?  If so, please know that identical vinyl seat uphostrey was used in both letter and non-letter 1964 300's with vinyl interior only and the star only appeared on the vinyl seat back inserts.  The leather seat option did not have any decoration of the seat backs.  Also, the 4-door 1964 300 had a vinyl with cloth insert option that used cloth inserts without a star.

Subject: [Chrysler300] Sport vs. K bucket seats

Question:

Are the bucket seat frames for the '64 sport the same as for the K?  I would imagine so, as I can't see Chrysler making a different frame for any of the '64s.  From what I can see, the only difference is that the K has the console while the sport has an arm rest between the seats.  If they are the same, I have an excellent white interior from my 64 sport that will be available, since I will be using the seat frames for Anne's K convert.  It really is in good shape but, of course, since it is coming from the sport, it does not have the emblems on the seat tops.

I would appreciate an answer regarding the buckets, and if anyone wants the white seat covers, just let me know.

Regards,

Pete Fitch
