Pat,
Sorry it took so long to reply.
I have decided to get a new evaporator core rather than having a 52 year old unit repaired.
I found a source in LA that will duplicate my unit if I send them the old one to copy.

The evaporator is located between the firewall and the fiberglass cover.
Let me know what condition yours is in.
Thanks,
Doug

i am parting out a 62 windsor. actually i am trying to strip the engine compartment so i can junk the rest of it. i took the evaporator coil( the radiator thingy in front of the radiator) off a couple of weeks ago but i dont know that it would be in any better shape than yours. i couldnt find any part #s on it. actually i think that is the condensor coil, isnt it? isnt the evaporator coil the little bottle type thingy in the plumbing line ? i have that too.----- Original Message -----Sent: Saturday, September 21, 2013 12:29 PMSubject: [Chrysler300] 62 Evaporator core###DWT213###
Hi Group,
I'm looking for a replacement or repair source for the evaporator core (coil?) on my 62 Sport Conv. w/413.
My parts book lists an evaporator coil (Model G) as #1991581.
It also lists the evaporator (Model G w/o valve) as #2003057.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.Doug Warrener
