Be careful even of a wire transfer, as you are giving him your bank account number. I would not hesitate to nicely tell him in view of all of the overseas scams, you would like quite a bit of additional information (name, address, confirmable banking credentials, employment information, work and home phones, etc.). Basically, ask him to "prove" himself. Has he asked all of the questions someone buying a car without inspecting it personally would be expected to ask? Did he attempt to negotiate at all on the price? You might also consider an escrow service (one that you pick, not him). It very well might be a legitimate deal, but I recommend going to great lengths to verify that. Of course, if he offers to pay more to include shipping, then you just refund him the difference, then you know it's a scam. Shannon 300 F In a message dated 7/31/2013 10:37:09 A.M. Short of a barrel of Krugerrands a wire transfer is probably the only safe method of payment.
