Thanks to one and all for the many and varied answers to how to remove the v/d. Yes, it is a 1.25 inch socket not the 1 3/16 version that I just purchased from NAPA and will never use for anything except to sparkle up the tool chest. Used my impact wrench to easily remove the big bolt. The v/d has rotated many degrees so that the timing mark is way useless and the outer ring is seriously not concentric to the splined center. I have acquired two 440 and one 383 blocks as well as a few heads in case any of you need these plus one un-cut MoparPerformance brand new 440 crank and two v/d. Thinking that I shouldn't use either of these v/d as they have different drillings so as to balance. Right?
