>From an old John Cote email on 5-16-06, you can try NAPA # 7-829 for your 1956 300-B. Gary Hagy, 300-C In a message dated 5/24/2013 3:15:19 P.M. There is no brand name on the box but I do remember the brand of Continental previously and I don't think it is the Continental out of Europe. As I recall in the parts book the listing was for 1957 Chrysler but it does work on the '55 & '56 cars with the modification on one fitting. You will see a very visible metal step down about half way through the hose. Hope this will help some of you out with the problem. If I can be of further assistance please ask. John, if you can dig up a Continental parts number that would be great! With the use of this modified hose I have no noise or vibration. New hoses attached and now the PS system "groans" and makes noise. Seems to work OK, i.e., power steering works. It was completely free of noise before the hose change. I suspect air in the system. I removed top fill cap and drained a little off the reservoir as it was full to top. I ran the steering wheel side to side at a little above idle speed. I thought I'd see bubbles or the system trying to purge itself. No success. Shop manual doesn't help much. > > Any suggestions or comments would me most appreciated. > > Thank You Kindly > Jim Ashenmacher > Rochester, MN > > 300B > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ To send a message to this group, send an email to: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to bob@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or go to http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Chrysler300/join and select the "Leave Group" button For list server instructions, go to http://www.chrysler300club.com/yahoolist/inst.htm For archives go to http://www.forwardlook.net/300-archive/search.htm#querylangYahoo!
