Hello Out There In Mailing List Land. As the fading sunlight slinks off in the clouds We reach the semi-final reportage from Yet another 300 Club Spring Meet. I speculated that the days Show And Shine event just might draw out of the far reaches yet another attendee with a Car not seen in awhile. Lo and Behold in rolled a Hurst that hadn't been seen by some in some time. I Believe that the Total Letter car count reached 15. Opps Forgot, there was a 'teaser' in yesterdays entry in the 'travel-log'. The gathering in the parking lot of the hotel to 'parade' to the days 'Show and Shine' saw us almost bringing up the rear. Since we were Not In a Letter Car we followed behind. Everyone in a convertible made sure to go 'topless'. The short drive saw us arrive at a local sandwich and ice cream place. They had a nice sized parking lot so we didn't interfear with the normal days traffic, But Then again we did, as the customers came and went, they got an eye full of who and what was in the back of the lot. It was nice to see 'locals' stop by and spectate. It also provided the chance to expose a generation of young folks working in the nearby car sales lots a little sampling of the heritage of some of the cars that packed their sales lots. Since your humble scribe is totally 'unofficial' and definately 'part time' I will hope some of the discussions concerning these gatherings will be reported in the Club's 'Offical' news publications in the near future. I did get the impression that all the Letter Cars in attendance were driven to the meet. if So, Very nice to see them get used as intended. Until the morrow when all head out from the meet on to their next destinations down the highways of life. Paul Holmgren 2 57 300-C's in Indy Hoosier Corps #L6 CPUs run on smoke.
