3M offers a purpose-made product #08061, called Plastic and Emblem Adhesive. I used it for my medallion and it seemed to work fine. Be sure to remove every little shred of the old adhesive and clean the chrome base it goes in with lacquer thinner just to make sure you gain good adhesion.
