Re: [Chrysler300] Brake drum turning source

Hi Rich,

I have also used the shop in West Sac. to arc the "too thick" new shoes for my 62 Sport after having the drums turned.

Placerville? - Have I missed something?

Doug:

Clutch and Brake Exchange in SAC put new linings on the shoes of my 12” ’55 drums in 2004 and did a good job.  I took the drums and shoes to them after the drums could not be installed as linings were too thick.  They then arced the shoes and everything went well.  Not many shops still do this and I don’t even know if C&BE still does the work.

Happy New Year.  See you at Placerville!

Rich

Hi Group,

An acquaintance of mine is looking for a machine shop in the Las Vegas area that can turn 12" drums and arc the shoes to fit.

He has a 1962 Chrysler Conv. - any suggestions?

As I recall 0.080 is the max - at least in Calif.
