Guys, It has been quite a few years since I last worked on a console for a 300-K, and I am finding holes in what I do remember, so I am hoping someone has recent memories and can help me. I am wanting to remove and redye the vinyl strips along the top sides of the console. Do I need to totally remove the console to access those for removal, or is there a way to remove them while the console is still in the car? If I need to remove the console, is there a shortcut to avoid removing the seats? My experience with removal of the console has been with both seats out of the car, and as I recall, I popped off the carpeted skirts to access hold down bolts (4 if I remember correctly). I wish to do a first class job, and will take the time and effort to do it correctly if that requires removing the seats and the console in its entirety, tho I would like to not have to do so if POSSIBLE. Much thanks to all. Tim Tomlinson W.
