Sorry about that, i decided not to post and hit the send button instead. What i was going to mention was that one end to the other of the attachment was probably welded on. Either the stud is welded to the seat and you had to take off the nut or the nut is welded to the floor and if that's the case, you would have to remove the bolt from inside. Way too many years since i removed any seat, which is why I changed my remains of a mind about posting.
