The trouble with the Beach Boys is that the Bow Ties always win.  I  don't 
think we can post links here, but Google "Shut Down: revised" for a  
re-write of what the lyrics should have said, backed up  by some real-world races.  
Poor Vette--never stood a chance.

Here in FL it's less than 120*. So I went to a car show Saturday  night.
As I'm drving up I see my friend the DJ putting on the show gives a  big 
smile.
Then I heard.
"It happend on the Strip where the road is  wide. Two cool shorts standing 
side by side. Yeah, my fuel injected Stingray  and a 413 were revvin up our 
engines and it sounds real mean."

I hate  the Beach Boys, more of a B52s type of guy.
