RE: [Chrysler300] shifters

I wish they'd put the dimmer switch back on the floor where it belongs!
At my age, I'm having an ever increasingly hard time getting my foot up to
the steering column on Carolyn's Hemi C and she
Is constantly complaining about the black marks on the dash.

To preserve 300 letter car content, let me remind everyone that the normal
shifter in our cars from 1956 to 1963 was the pushbutton console on the left
side of the dashboard.
Fast forward to 2013--which will come by and by. For whatever reason I
happened upon the Lincoln MKZ 2013 website. They are crowing about the new
shifter--pushbuttons. Pushbuttons, they say, save space on the console, I
suppose for more cupholders. They put the buttons where our heater controls
used to be. Hmm!
Would this be another example of mighty Mopar leading the way?
Just sayin'
