Perhaps Goers' has changed the weatherstripping... I installed his trunk weatherstripping on my "F" a couple of years ago and it was a perfect fit.

  My experience with Goers' trunk weatherstrip, at least as it applies to 
  57-9, is that it is too dense and too thick. Had a tough time with my 58 
  Plymouth and ended up not using it. What worked for me was 70-72 GM A-body 
  weatherstrip. Trunk lid now closes perfectly. Not sure if the profile is the 
  same for 60-62, however.
