This is kind of dated, but I don't recall seeing closure. '55-'58 Chrysler Parts Manual does not list Part Number 1686000. As per that parts manual and our website (Quick Index, Helpful hints), the proper part numbers for '55-'56 300's are: Non a/c: 1541641 a/c: 1599992 The a/c cars I have seen had fully boxed shrouds. I see the '59 parts manual shows high capacity cores for non a/c cars, so perhaps that is what the 1686000 B5 radiator is? My C-300 runs nice and cool unless and until I get stuck in stop and go traffic or long slow driving. It hates a parade, gets hot and does not cool down very quickly when air flow resumes. It's probably correct then. That for an A/C car?? Strange that # don't turn up in the parts book. Hello to all: Before I go through the expense of reworking the current radiator in my 300B, I want to make sure it's correct for the car. Can anyone please provide the correct P/N that should be on the top tank?
