Hi, Another nice feature from Hagerty is they asked me in my insurance renewal if I wanted to increase the coverage (value) of my '63 300 Conv. It was insured for $17,000, but now (for a few dollars more) it is insured for $20,000 (Guaranteed Value) in case of fire, theft, etc. I think I am correct in assuming that no receipts would be needed to prove the value if the vehicle was a total loss due to fire? Other insurance companies may try to put the burden on the owner to prove the value. Price is $215 per year with no mileage limit. I don’t have any with my policy. They have never asked for odometer readings on the five cars I have insured with them; they don’t know (or seem to care) how many miles I drive. I don’t know if that is a state issue (I live in SC) or maybe an insurance rep issue??? Red on Red leather with a 413 ci and a manual 3-speed transmission. I have insurance through State Farm for a value of $7500.00. Restrictions are 1000 miles a year. (19.2 miles a week). Costs $18 a month I got a quote from Hagerty for $273 a year. Insured for $ 10,000.00, bur appears to be less miles. It's beautiful here in Florida year around and wanted to drive it more. Questions: 1. What should I be asking for in the way of coverage..100,000/300,000 ?? 2. Miles driven a year. If I drove it to the Spring Meet from Seminole, Fl (Tampa Bay area) I would use the mileage up right there. 3. Is State Farms price in the Ball Park ? I would appreciate any suggestions you have to offer. Please reply off site so we don't tie up our site to much. Jerry Lindsay Seminole, Fl.
