I was quite surprised to receive an email from GlobalSpec Electronics with a subject line that read: Shannon...Your electroluminescence is requested The email even defined electroluminescence: electroluminescence [ih-lek-troh-loo-muh-nes-uhns] noun The emission of light, not due to heating effects alone, resulting from application of an electric field to a material, usually solid. Naturally I assumed it related to the dash of my 300G, but I don't know how they would have gotten my email. The web page looked legitimate. Just a strange coincidence, maybe? Did anyone else get something similar?
