FW: [Chrysler300] white F coupe on eBay- further examination of the photos may reveal its true identity

Further examination of the photos on ebay reveals the following, at least to
my eyes. I strongly suspect this was the F that originally wore the TT1
Daytona Sand exterior color, making it both a special order interior and
exterior color that has been changed to white. Looking closely at the
underhood picture, near the brake booster and the driver's side inner
fender, looks like Daytona Sand to me. It is very clear where the car was
repainted and where it was not. Also in the trunk compartment under the
trunk hinges and behind the cardboard panels, I see the same Daytona Sand
color. I can't be totally sure, of course, without an onsite examination
but I'd make a bet on it.

I suspect Joe Bortz is the selling agent not the actual owner but who knows?

The March 2004 edition of NewsFlite listed the letter cars with special
order interiors by s/n. There were three Fs listed with red interiors. Two
had WW1 Alaskan White exteriors. One of the white ones had been scrapped.
The other, at that time, was owned by Gary Goers s/n 8403138891. The
third F with a s/o red interior had a TT1 Daytona Sand exterior, last known
owner was a T. Denkovski in Illinois and s/n 8403156000. Perhaps the car on
ebay is this car as they claim it's had the same owner for the last 25
years?

The red seats look original but appear to have been "leatheriqued." There's
nothing wrong with that, of course, but if you look closely the seats are
both shinier and a brighter red than the console armrest, at least on the
rear seats. The lever and gauge next to the console look non- original to
me.

Nice car!!

That is Joe Bortz! Very famous collector. He owned several of the
Futureliners as well as loads of concept cars from the '50's. The display
at Pebble a few years back included many of his cars.

Very nice gentleman but I wouldn't call if not serious about the car.
